To the few that still read this and the ones that stumble upon my blog, sorry I haven’t posted much since the holidays. I’ve been working a job that requires me to work at least 50 hrs plus the usual holiday gatherings have kept me very busy and exhausted. But I’m starting a new job that wont be as physically exhausting plus the holidays are over so I should be back to posting more often again. But as far as the new year goes wasn’t MTV’s New Years celebration super wack?? They played some pretaped and reran that Miley Cirus celebration. The actual time square celebration was the wackest its ever been. Hosted by the Cheeta/3lw girl and Lil mama?? And the performers were one hit wonders and no name fools. And then the exact minute after 12 AM it switches to their wack overplayed reality dating show. They used to have mad performances after the ball dropped. MTV used to have some good new years celebrations and I’d just watch it all night. Now I couldn’t stand to watch it and just would rather watch gay ass Ryan Seacrest. Well I could go on and on how MTV disappoints me. But 2009 will be a great year and I wish everyone a happy new year.

Schools need to teach kids about money
November 20, 2008 · Leave a Comment
We all go to grade school for 12 years and college(for some of us) so we can get a job and earn good money to support ourselves. But school never teaches us what to do with money. Just because you had straight A’s and can recite textbooks doesn’t ensure you great credit and 0 debt in the future. I had VERY brief lessons on money and investing in grade school. I learned how to write a check and that Johnson and Johnson was a great company to invest in because everybody uses their products. We tried to have a stock competition where everybody picks their stocks but nobody got into it because nobody understood it. Schools need to have classes dedicated to money and investing. There’s tons of things kids need to know about personal wealth, saving, credit, and investing. Schools should have a credit system that simulates credit cards and interest rates where students can learn and be aware of the evils of credit cards and be prepared when credit card companies offer you a free t shirt for your signature on an application. I wish when I graduated high school I knew about interest rates, mortgage rates, how to buy a car, how to buy a house, and how to read the stock ticker on cnbc.

10 year old cars today are way cooler than 10 year old cars in the 90’s
November 19, 2008 · Leave a Comment
Back when I was in high school from 98-01 the only really cool cars were those from 94ish-95 and up. In high school you got your parents old car that didn’t costs too much on the insurance. I drove an 85 BMW 318 when I was 16. It was a cool car because my dad kept it clean in the garage for a long time but it wasn’t like “DAMN! Chris drives a bimmer!” because it was an older model and still had that 80’s dinky gas efficient look. Back in my days of high school only a handful of kids had rides that they could really show off because most calls 5 years and older just looked “old” already. Even looking at 1991 models in the year 98 looked old and boxy. Now a 2001 model doesn’t look old at all. I see high school kids today driving late 90’s accords, civics, and SUV’s and I kind of envy them because they have cooler cars than my high school years. Also back then SUV’s were just starting to get popular so if you had an SUV you were the shit in school. But I really can’t really complain because driving to school in ANY car was way cooler than riding the bus any day.

Is Self Checkout really an added Convenience??
November 18, 2008 · 1 Comment
Many Walmarts, Lowes, and Krogers have self checkout systems now a days. But I believe they’re placed more to cut costs on cashiers. Many times when I use self checkout the machine always messes up and I have to get a cashier to override the transaction. Even someone as tech savvy as I am messes up on those things. It’s even worse when non tech savvy people try to use it and take 15 mins to checkout. Many times its just faster to go to the cashier and wait in line for a little bit. But the biggest problem is the weight system that correlates the weight with the number of items with your bag. It’s confusing to know when you can take your full bag off the scale and start using a new one. I always get the prompt to put the bag back. I bet employees hate it when its their turn to watch over the self checkout because people always fuck up. There needs to be a self checkout where you put all your items on the belt and they scan like an airport detector then you bag them as they come out.

Damn It’s Been A While
November 17, 2008 · Leave a Comment
It’s been a month since I last posted and been busy with alot of stuff. I didn’t mean for this blog to be a blog that I’d just post on for a month and forget about it because I have stuff to write about everyday. It’s just a matter of remembering blogging what I thought of earlier in the day. But I’ve come up with more categories and idea’s that I’ll blog about in the near future. In the past month I’ve moved in with my girlfriend and got a new job. It’s been great being out of the parents house but it’s also a big adjustment and more responsibility. I just miss playing on my turntables. I haven’t been able to because I’m planning to have a nice custom console/stand built but I haven’t been able to get it done since alot of my money has gone to initial move in costs like furniture, groceries, and utilities. I could go ghetto and use cinder blocks and plywood but it would look wack in the apartment. I should have it by next month and I’m sure I’ll piss off some of the neighbors like my last apartment when they would try to battle blasting their little surround sound system. But keep checking everyday I will continue post

Spaghetti is wayyy overrated.
October 14, 2008 · Leave a Comment
I dont know why people make such a big deal of making spaghetti. Probably because its filling and cheap to make. But everybody claims their moms spaghetti is the best. Is there really a big difference in homemade spaghetti and spaghetti you get at Olive Garden? I’m sure your moms spaghetti tastes better than Chef Boyardee though. But there’s not much that goes into making spaghetti, you boil the noodles and heat up the sauce and then put the two together! If you can make Ramen you can make spaghetti. Some people ad their own touches like spices, meat, ketchup, sugar to enhance the taste but to me spaghetti is spaghetti its really hard to mess up making decent tasting spaghetti. It’s no big deal to me. Do you ever see contestants on Iron Chef battling to make spaghetti? or see Paula Dean on food network make spaghetti? It’s harder to make a good tasting homemade salad than good tasting spaghetti.

Who figured out all the stuff we can and cannot eat?
October 14, 2008 · Leave a Comment
I like to watch the Discovery channel and watch Survivor Man and Bear Grills try to survive in remote ass areas with no inhabitants or food. They seem to find the most random food that I’d probably just mistake for a regular plant. What I always wonder is who was the person or persons that deemed what things were edible and what were not. Because if I was starving my ass off I’d just start eating leaves and try to make a salad with grass sprinkled on top. Somebody waaayyyy back in the day had to have eaten everything in sight and just made notes which was good and which was not. I’m pretty sure the first person on earth didn’t have a manual to what is food and what is not. Whoever the person was that discovered food should go down in history next to Jesus.

I’m kind of embarrassed to say I like Axe
October 13, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Last week I was at Walmart looking through the toiletries section and saw this new kind of Axe. I dont usually like Axe because it’s overbearing and it just smells like its price, cheap! But this new line is called Proximity and is more sutle and actually smells good. That’s how I like my cologne. I dont care to let EVERYBODY know I smell good, I just want people to notice when they’re closer to me. When it’s too strong I just feel like I’m 13 again wearing cologne for the first time. But I didn’t get it that day but I really liked the Amber scent which is slightly sweet and good for fall. I went to Target and they were out so I got the Bergamot scent which is a cooler smelling scent. But its great for everyday occassions when I dont want to use up my favorite scent(Versace Metal Jeans).

Why do people get tattoo’s for the sake of getting a tattoo??
October 12, 2008 · 1 Comment
So you just turned 18 or 21 and you feel rebelious and get a tattoo. So you go to the tattoo parlor and pick something off the wall. Ends up that 100 people already have that tattoo or some variation of it. Why the hell do people get a cliche ass tattoo when its going to be on your body for the rest of your life? Remember when tribal bands and Chinese/Japanese lettering was cool? Now its completely played out. It was cute for girls to get a tattoo on the lower back, now its labeled a tramp stamp…still cute right? I dont have any tattoo’s but I wouldn’t rule out getting one . It would have to be completely unique and significant to me. If I thought of a cool design I’d maybe get one but I’m not going to get just any tattoo because I want one. It’s like buying an Ed Hardy shirt because its cool to have one. But you dont have to wear that shirt EVERYDAY for the rest of your life. After it goes out of style you can put it away. But now it’s not enough to get one tattoo to be cool. You gotta get mulitple ones to fill up your arm or get a whole sleeve. How would that shit look when you get 60-70 and wrinkley? I am not hating on tattoos because I do find some cool ones but I just think its stupid when people get the same tattoos as everyone else just to look cool. Just like this guy did. Tribal bands, nautical stars, and japanese letters?? and why does he have a gay ass belly button tattoo?

I’m done with the heat!!
September 28, 2008 · Leave a Comment
I haven’t updated in a few days because I’ve been lazy. Lately the weather here in VA has just sucked. It’s been rainy, hot, and humid. Just the kind of weather that makes you want to nap all day. It sucks in the morning when its gloomy because it feels like its night time still when I wake up. Being that it’s hot still doesn’t help because even when the rain stops the air is humid and thick as hell. It’s like being in a rice cooker or sauna all day. You sweat but it doesn’t evaporate like it should because its so humid. Your car windows look like people been havin hot sweaty orgies all day in the car. I’m just ready for the heat to go away and settle into fall. I think fall is the best season here in VA because the scenery is really nice with all the trees turning different colors and all the fall festivities going on. I also like fall because fashion wise you have alot more options(I know it sounds kinda gay). You can layer, wear jackets, sweaters, different pants, wide variety of shoes. Also I get in better shape around the fall. Most people try to get in shape for the summer but for me its hard to because there’s all kinds of celebrations, parties, bbqs, cookouts, and trips where I dont care to eat healthy. If there’s free food and its in front of my face I’m not holding back. With all the celebrating and fun out of the way I can focus on my shit!
