It’s hard being in the spotlight these days

So Olympic superstar and media darling Michael Phelps had a pic posted of him smoking weed. Now everybody is going crazy like he’s Barry Bonds. Comes to show that celebrities can’t do anything bad these days. Because EVERYBODY is potential paparazzi and word can spread FAST. Everybody has a camera phone and can snap a pic. Once that pic hits the internet it spreads fast especially with social sites like Facebook and Digg. I’m sure the guy that took that pic got a nice paycheck from that photo. Guys even have to be carefull with the groupies they bring into bed because chicks can easily claim rape and try to extort them out of a shitload money. But I heard a while back that Eminem makes girls sign contracts before having sex with him. If I were a celebrity I’d make all the people I hang out with sign contracts and if they try to sell dirt on me they’d get sued.

2 Good Superbowls in 2 Straight Years

Going into the game last night I wasn’t a big fan of either team but I swayed more towards the Cardinals. I just wanted to see a good game which it was last night. Everybody though the Steelers would stomp on the Cards but the Cards gave them a good ass run. I thought the Steelers shut down Fitzgerald but he managed to bust out with two crazy ass touchdown passes. But the Steelers have finished in a fashion that seemed to epitomize their whole season. If the Cards would’ve won I would have felt kind of bad for the Steelers because I like Polamalu and they had a good season. But I highly doubt the Cards would make it back to the Superbowl next season. Kurt Warner is contemplating retirement plus he’s old and Anquan Boldin is mad with his contract and his role. They’re definetly going to fall to the Superbowl losers curse and falter next year. I bet this season was a punch in the gut for Matt Leinhart because he was supposed to be the QB to bring the Cards to the playoffs. But Jennifer Hudsons star spangled banner was amazing and moving and Bruce Springsteen was pretty exciting compared to boring ass Tom Petty last year. I didn’t really pay attention to any of the commercials. I just noticed alot of companies recycled commercials. I guess they’re trying to save in a recession.

Well the long awaited Pacquiao vs De La Hoya fight occurred last night and De La Hoya got his ass beat. De La Hoya was completely outmatched against the quicker Pacman. But at least Pacman was going for the KO and not giving pussy ass jabs then running like Mayweather. Even though I am usually a Pacquiao fan I was going for De la Hoya. I just wanted to see the last big ticket fighter of the 90’s go out gracefully. But rarely anybody in boxing retires gracefully. Even Ali was getting his ass beat badly before he retired. Pacquio is the most exciting fighter right now but I highly doubt he will replace De La Hoya as the big ticket in boxing. He can barely speak English. Just about all Filipinos can speak English even in the Philippines. He has to be the worst english speaking filipino I’ve seen on TV. Even people on The Filipino Channel constantly speak english. I at least De la Hoya got a nice payday and still got 2x more than Pacquiao. I just hope he doesn’t fight anymore and get his respectability beat out of him.

Jason Williams aka White Chocolate retires

 

So over the weekend Jason Williams aka White Chocolate has retired. Nobody knows the real reason why though. He signed with the Clippers over the summer which I didn’t even know of until I heard about him retiring. When he first came into the league he was the role model for every white kid that wanted to play in the NBA. A white guy that can embarrass dudes on the court and do more than just pass and shoot. He was just made for youtube. I’d post up a video but there are endless Jason Williams vids. But he was very inconsistent which caused him to be benched during clutch minutes in his games with the Kings. He came to the Grizzlies and tamed his game down a shitload and started playing more white and John Stocktonish. But he was way more consistent and  didn’t turn the ball over as much. But the Grizzlies never do shit and he was luckily signed by the Heat and won his first championship. He became a decent PG and court be a starter on half the teams in the NBA but he was just injury prone his past 2 seasons. I guess his injuries caught up to him or he doesn’t want to be a backup to Baron Davis. Now who’s going to be the blackest white baller in the NBA?? Actually I’d like to see another Larry Bird, a honky country white boy that just shits on all the NBA.

Donovan looks poised to reclaim the NFC East

Last nights game between the Cowboys and the Eagles was probably the most exciting game since last years Superbowl…maybe even more exciting because the Superbowl was kind of slow in the 1st half. People were already saying Mcnabb was back in full form after the Rams but the Rams defense sucks. This game just proved to me that Mcnabb is back. There couldn’t be more pressure for a regular season game being that it was Monday night, against TO, and against division rivals the Cowboys. Mcnabb was airing out passes and nimble on his feet avoiding sacks except for that last sack by Ware. The Cowboys still won but I’m not as upset because Mcnabb and the Eagles put up a huge fight until the end and TO couldn’t say anything about Mcnabbs performance. As long as Westbrook and Mcnabb can stay healthy combined with their upgraded secondary I think the Eagles will take the NFC East.

Tom Brady is done for the season!

I’ve always hated the Patriots and Tom Brady ever since they beat my team the Rams in 2001. They didn’t even deserve to go to the Super Bowl that year because they got a lucky ass call in the AFC title game. And every year the Pats go below the radar in the regular season then beast through the Playoffs. And last year whoever had Brady on their fantasy team just demolished all competition because of his record breaking season. I’ve always hated the Pats because they’ve always been so cocky and put themselves on a pedistal while Bill Belichek acts like a smart ass to the press. This year I dont hate them as much because they got knocked off their pedistal and got put in their place. So I decided to take Brady as my first pick in fantasy football since he beasted last year I thought he’d come back and do the same with Randy Moss. BUT the year I’m actually rooting for him he gets injured for the season!! FUCK! I guess EVERY losing Super Bowl team falls off hard the next season. Shit is a curse just like Madden. What happened to the days when the Bills would keep losing in the Super Bowl and keep coming back to lose again?? 

Boxing NEEDS a Pacquiao vs. De La Hoya fight!!

There have been negotiations between De La Hoyas camp and Pacquiao’s about setting up a fight between the two. This could be a megafight between the most exciting boxer out and the last of the big name superstar fighters. I think it would be way better than Mayweather because Pacquiao goes for the KO instead of running around a jabbing for 12 rounds. There have been numerous articles from every source including SI and ESPN saying there will be a fight or there wont. But that all say that Pacquiao is not agreeing on the pay cut being presented to him. The percentage is supposedly 70-30 which means De La Hoya gets the larger percentage. This is the same cut that Floyd Mayweather took during his fight with De La Hoya. Mayweather still took home 22 million even though De la Hoya took home more. AND it made him a major superstar. Pacquiao pretty much feels disrespected that he’s getting a smaller percentage. But even with 30% he’ll still get paid more than 4 times he’s ever earned from a fight! He’s earned no more than 4 million per fight and he has a chance to make 15 million! I say fuck the percentages look at the dollar signs bitch!!
